Dear Fellow Parent,<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s the Winter Solstice and I am wishing you a blessed solstice, today.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here, looking ahead to Christmas and the close of this year – a year like no other – I find I am feeling so much.\u00a0 Wow.\u00a0 I\u2019s been a whopper. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But we made it through.<\/span><\/p>\n

We made it through the change, the transitions, the pivoting.<\/span><\/p>\n

We loved, we grieved, we\u00a0raged, we hoped, we took action.\u00a0 We kept on keeping on.<\/span><\/p>\n

And through it all, we parented.<\/span><\/p>\n

We loved, we tried, we held our children close.<\/span><\/p>\n

We kept showing up, because if there\u2019s one thing we\u2019ve learned as parents, it\u2019s this. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ll always show up. \u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

No matter what.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

As I look ahead to 2021, something shines out to me.\u00a0 It\u2019s something I heard last night, when it was shared at a friend’s solstice gathering.<\/span><\/p>\n

People sometimes talk about the solstice as an entry into darkness, because it marks the start of winter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But in fact, in the seasons\u2019 wheel, the solstice is the tipping point. <\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s the shortest day of the year, which means that from here, the days get longer again.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The light is returning. \u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The light always returns.<\/span><\/p>\n

When I think about the lengthening days, I think also of the power of love.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s like I tell my children.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Love is powerful.<\/span><\/p>\n

Love wants to work through us.<\/span><\/p>\n

Love is you.\u00a0 You are love.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

You are held, safe, seen, and supported.<\/span><\/p>\n

You have backup, and your backup is infinite.\u00a0 <\/b>Beyond any difficulty you may experience,\u00a0\u00a0you have soul riches – resources that can\u00a0support you through anything. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here, on the eve of 2021, I wish you love, strength, and drawing on the resources of soul, self, spirit and community <\/b>as we embrace the return of the light.<\/span><\/p>\n

What will we birth in 2021?\u00a0 How will we continue to show up for our children?\u00a0 For all children?<\/span><\/p>\n

These are some of the questions that I am holding as we move into\u00a02021. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our winter session starts Tuesday, December 29th<\/b>, and runs through March 20th<\/b>.\u00a0 (Yes, so soon!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0To minimize disruption to little ones’ routine this holiday, I’m taking just a four day break for Christmas, and we’ll be back next week.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Register for winter season by December 28th<\/b>, and you\u2019ll get 20% off the price of drop in<\/b>.\u00a0 And, when you register for the full session, you also get a code that also gives you unlimited extra drop ins for the duration of the season.\u00a0 That\u2019s up to four classes per week for the price of one!<\/span><\/p>\n

This also means that there are only two holiday sing-alongs remaining<\/b><\/span><\/a>, so if you\u2019d like to catch one of the two remaining dates, here\u2019s a last special invitation to sing jingle bells with Little Seal.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/span>?<\/span><\/p>\n

Looking farther ahead, since some have asked, I will continue to offer only online classes through at least the winter<\/b>, or until vaccination is widespread.\u00a0 When I do start teaching in person again in the San Francisco Bay Area, I\u2019ll continue to offer online classes as well, for those who are far away and those who prefer this format.<\/p>\n
