Not just any community.\u00a0 You seek depth<\/strong>.\u00a0 Soul nourishment. Somewhere you can settle in, let your guard down<\/strong>.\u00a0 Show up in the fullness of yourself and really feel seen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mothersong is a circle of women<\/strong> and gender expansive<\/strong> folks who meet weekly<\/strong> to experience co-regulation through<\/strong> singing together<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To this day, Mothersong has helped hundreds of Bay Area women and gender expansive folks to unlock our powers of expression and find belonging in warm community.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Our repertoire includes rounds<\/strong>,\u00a0chants<\/strong> and\u00a0layer songs<\/strong>, accompanied by simple, soothing movements<\/strong> to cradle your spirit and nurture your inner fire.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But Mothersong is also more than a singing space<\/strong>.\u00a0 Mothersong is a gathering ground that centers relational<\/strong>, land based<\/strong>, and embodied<\/strong> ways of being and knowing.<\/span><\/p>\n

We approach singing therapeutically<\/strong>, centering safety, authenticity, and consent at every step.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At Mothersong, we learn music the old fashioned way – by ear<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how it works \u2013 the songleader sings a line, the group sings it back.\u00a0<\/strong> Simple.<\/span><\/p>\n

Little by little, we build up an arrangement, layer by layer, voices weaving into a rich tapestry of sound.\u00a0 (You’d be amazed how satisfying<\/strong> an easy-to-learn song can be, once we get all of the parts layered together!)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We often integrate movement<\/strong> as well, from simple swaying, to hypnotic circle dance to energizing body percussion.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Our dances are comprised of simple movements, such as swaying, stepping or clapping.\u00a0 (No fancy footwork required.)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Also, we are a consent based space, so if you prefer not<\/em> to dance, that’s okay too.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Supporting our in person learning is a<\/span> treasure trove<\/b> of high quality <\/span>practice recordings<\/b>, produced by our director in her home studio, so you can take the music home with you to savor and steep in.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Wheres and Hows…<\/span><\/h1>\n

Mothersong<\/strong> meets weekly<\/strong> for two seasons a year, in spring<\/strong> and fall,\u00a0<\/strong>with\u00a0registration opening\u00a0<\/strong>in January <\/strong>and\u00a0August<\/strong> respectively.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We have two cohorts, one in San Francisco<\/strong> and the other in Pacifica.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Also a spiritual counselor<\/strong>, Noe helps individuals, children, couples and families find healing, resilience and belonging through the modalities of Internal Family Systems, Depth Hypnosis and Applied Shamanic Conseling.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
