And Here’s a tip for when you feel judged, unseen, or not accepted for some core aspect of who you are –

Simply this. Love yourself harder.

This is a secret I’ve learned that has brought a great sense of joy and freedom in my life in recent years.

So, there is a person in my life.

This person doesn’t like a lot of the things I do.

They dislike myth and fantasy.

Unicorns make them uncomfortable. ?

Dragons seem cliché to them.

Then there is me.

And sometimes it feels easy, flowy, clear.

And other times, it feels less so.

Songs pouring out everywhere, wings slightly askew, trying to fit myself into the trappings of a normal life without crushing the life out of myself.

So how do you cope with this?

When you love someone, but you’re also on different pages about some of the key things that matter to you, and this can sometimes hamper your feeling of safe expression around these things?

The answer?

Love yourself harder.

It’s okay to compromise.

The truth is, it’s not up to anyone else to accept you.

It’s not up to anyone else to tell you that it’s okay to be the person you are.

It’s not their job.

It’s yours.

To have the strength to live the gorgeously expressive life you came here for, it’s going to take grit. It’s going to take strength. It’s going to take confidence beyond what you thought was possible, or necessary.

So, skip the middle man. Stop asking for approval from others. Instead, give that support to yourself, and just be yourself, without apology.

The only one who can really love you is you.

The only one who can fully see you is you.

And once you grasp this, nobody, NOBODY can stifle your flame.

NOBODY can keep you from doing what you came here for.

Nobody can stop you but you.
